The approach connects residents and local organisations with international research, policy and advocacy conversations, without treating local experience as interchangeable with global evidence. International perspectives can help interpret local findings; local questions can test broad assumptions. We would assess whether exchanges produce useful methods, reciprocal relationships and opportunities to carry locally grounded questions to a wider scale.
