Connect the questions

Mechanism · Cross-project learning

Bring Uber drivers, mathematicians and journalists together to connect work, AI, attention and platform economics.

The projects should not become isolated silos. Uber drivers' questions about idle time, mathematicians' questions about inference and journalists' questions about attention can illuminate one another. Joint conversations can expose common issues in how platforms record activity, allocate visibility and monetise participation. Methods and questions can travel between projects without pooling raw personal data or assuming that different platforms work identically. We would look for jointly framed questions, methods reused with appropriate caveats and explanations that participants from different fields can scrutinise together.
